Guatemalan Coffee Culture:
Obviously there's a long-standing, rich heritage in Guatemalan coffee, where traditional methods yield exceptional Arabica beans from volcanic highlands. Small-scale farmers cultivate these beans among natural shade trees, fostering biodiversity. Hand-harvesting and traditional wet milling methods, ensure quality. Coffee is central to Guatemala's culture, providing vital income and culinary staples. From rural "Chapin" pot brews with added sugar or spices to urban coffee shops bustling with social activity, savor the best of Arabica beans from Guatemala.
Washed Coffee Process:
The Guatemalan washed coffee process commences with meticulous harvesting of ripe coffee cherries. Pulping follows to remove the outer skin, revealing green coffee beans. These beans undergo fermentation in water to loosen any remaining mucilage or fruit residues. After thorough washing and soaking, the beans are dried until reaching the ideal moisture content, resulting in clean, bright, and well-balanced coffee. This comprehensive process is a hallmark of Guatemalan coffee production.

As soon as we opened the bag we knew it was going to be good! Such an amazing smell! There were literally so many nuanced flavors in the Guatamala roast. Super chocolatey, which I love. Getting the coffee 7 days after it was actually roasted was tangibly evident in the quality and taste. Highly recommend!

from 6 reviewsSo far I've tried the Hip Hop, Classical, and Grunge Rock Blend. All three have been top tier coffee, fresh, roasted perfectly, and shipped fast. The character notes are accurate. I look forward to ordering more.
Octave Coffee Folk blend is a perfect balance of boldness and smoothness. The hint of caramel is perfect and provides a flavor that can be enjoyed both black or with a little cream. If you are a connoisseur or a casual coffee drinker, this blend of flavor, quality and aroma is sure to bring your morning coffee ritual to the next level.
Lofi is a great roast for anyone getting into specialty coffee and enjoys a darker, smokier roast.
Octave's "Funk" is a true masterpiece! This coffee's rich notes create a harmonious symphony of flavors that had me dancing with delight. I've been savoring the exceptional coffee of Guatemala during my visits there for over 30 years. Funk is the perfect blend for anyone who appreciates the soulful essence of Guatemalan coffee. My taste buds were singing a new octave of joy with every sip, making this blend an absolute must-try for coffee enthusiasts.
I've been a daily coffee drinker for much of my adult life. As someone who appreciates the finer things in life, I knew my coffee game was lacking. When I came across Octave on social media, I thought this would be a great opportunity to take things to the next level. I got the Funk, the Folk, the Grunge, and the Lo-Fi. All have been excellent. The aromas that fill our home every morning have been divine. Talking with the owner, it is clear he's knowledgeable and passionate about coffee. Top-notch coffee and you're supporting a family business. Can't beat that.
